Welcome to our website and, through it, to Swansea Law Society.
Our objects are professional and social, and our website is chiefly for our members whilst being, in the fullest sense, open - open to solicitors and to the public.
The professional side of what we do centres on continuing professional development or education.
The social side includes a dinner in November, a cocktail party usually in April, a barbecue in the summer, golf matches and a cricket season.
We are in our third century and plan to be here long after this President has been forgotten.

The CPD timetable for March 2008 to October 2008 is now online.
A new Society membership form is available to download (PDF file, requires Adobe Acrobat to view and print).
As of Jan 2008 the Young Solicitors Group has changed its name to the Junior Lawyers Division.
You may wish to note that the South Wales Evening Post is currently (19th Feb 2008) more expensive than The Western Mail in its pricing structure for placing notices so its worth doing a check on comparable prices before proceeding. (Thanks to T G Jones & Assoc for alerting us to this.)
We have added a new section to this site - the legal services section. There you can read all about i-LTS, the internet based legal transcription service.
